* Please note that strollers, rollerbladers, and pets are not allowed in either the Half Marthon nor the 5K races for the safety of our participants.

Fall Into Fitness

Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009

  • 10:00am-6:00pm: Healthy and Fit Magazine Expo
  • 10:00am - 6:00pm: Packet Pick-up, Lansing Center
  • 10:30am-4:30pm: Demonstrations on exercises, classes, or products every :30 minutes from Expo sponsors at the Center Stage
  • 11:00am: Captiol City Kid's Mile (12 and under) and Capitol City Kid's Sprint (7 and under). Both kid's races will start on the River Trail behind the Lansing Center, just north of the gazebo on the boardwalk.

Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009

  • 7:00am - 8:15am: Late Registration
  • 8:30 am: Half Marathon run
  • 8:30 am: 5K run/walk

Kid's Races and Activities

The one mile Capitol City Kid's Mile (12 years and under) and quarter mile Capitol City Kid's Sprint (7 years and under) introduce children to the joys of running and promote the many benefits of a fit and healthy lifestyle. All participants receive special kid's t-shirts, numbers, medals, and prizes at the finish. There is a $5.00 fee to enter the kid's run.

Kid's Races Entry Form

Dates and Times: Both the 1 mile and 1/4 mile kids' runs will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26.

Where: Both kids' races will start and finish on the River Trail just north of the gazebo on the boardwalk behind the Lansing Center.

Following the kid's races, Impressions 5 will be hosting a variety of supervised activities in the museum including:

  • Slime - What is Slime? Kids, check out this popular workshop where we'll mix ingredients together to make an amazing substance! Become a junior chemist and explore with Slime!
  • Gene Bracelet - What makes you unique? Your genes! Showcase some of your unique genes as you make a cool bracelet!
  • Skeleton Craft - Explore your bones, symmetry, and structure while creating a Skeleton Craft!
  • Heart Power - Learn about the power of your heart while conducting healthy heart challenges. Put your heart to the test!
